Issue: Apache Log4j is a Java-based logging utility found in many software applications. A recently-discovered vulnerability has been in the news in recent days. DNASTAR’s software development teams have looked into the issue and verified that this vulnerability does not affect DNASTAR products. We have found that our software either included built-in protection from the vulnerability or were otherwise unaffected by it.

Resolution: Since DNASTAR’s software applications appear to be unaffected, no action is required from you at this time.

Our development and software deployment teams will continue to monitor this potential issue. If the Log4j vulnerability does have any impact on DNASTAR software, we will be sure to notify you at once and will immediately take remedial action via a software patch.
